The society's objects are:

The relief of poverty through the promotion and funding of home ownership, affordable housing and social enterprise. The prevention of homelessness in society and the advancement of education particularly concerning the role of financial services in self-help and for the benefit of the community.

Since our first Community Bond issue of Loanstock in 2002, conditions for those in housing need have not improved to any great degree; even the housing boom of recent years has done very little to solve matters.

The National Housing Federation, a campaign group, has stated that, due to the lack of adequate housing, more than 2.65 million people in England will be forced to live in overcrowded conditions by 2011. It also predicts that local authority housing waiting lists will soon reach record levels and that new house building will continue to fall by over 50%.

The recent economic turmoil has fuelled increased home repossessions and unemployment; this forces many people to stay in homes that are too small for their needs and widespread problems in the areas of health, children's education and family relationships occur.

Supported Housing is designed for people who need help with everyday living but wish to retain their independence. It is a combination of housing and support services intended as a cost-effective way to help vulnerable people live more stable, safe and productive lives. Often recipients are individuals or families confronted with domestic violence, are homeless, have very low incomes and serious, persistent issues that may include substance abuse, addiction or alcoholism, mental illness, HIV/AIDS, or other serious challenges to a successful life.

We believe Supported Housing in the UK is now in need of substantial investment and the pending crisis is so acute that, unless dramatic remedial action is taken soon, it may take decades for some communities to recover.

Through direct investment into the design and build of eco-friendly, multi-use, clustered apartment buildings, we aim to provide homes which offer vulnerable people the highest level of safety and independence; all housed within a supportive care environment.

We intend to enter into partnerships with voluntary agencies, supported housing groups, housing associations, charities, churches, local authorities, private consultants and care service providers to channel funding into affordable housing developments in areas of greatest Supported Housing need.

We will ensure that Local labour is employed and each housing project will be managed professionally in order to ensure a high standard of workmanship and timely work completion.

We will actively assist other similar organisations who are intending to develop their own Supported Housing projects and regeneration strategies.
